    The BDM Team

    Hi All,

    I am the Head of Business Development for paaleads.com and I am responsible for managing our team of BDM's, developing new lead types and ensuring we support our members in helping to grow your business, optimise your conversion rates and increase your return on investment.

    The forum of ask the BDM is specifically set up so you can tell us what lead types you would like to see in the future and what further opportunities we could help you with now and in the longterm. In addition to this we want to help you grow your business through paaleads.com and can help with sharing hints and tips to optimise your return. We can tell you where the hotspots of leads are and what areas you can pick up leads more readily than others.

    We have been out seeing many members over the last few months who want to build a longterm relationship and need more support in helping them achieve their business requirements whether they have a team of advisors who all need a regular feed of leads or a individual who is looking to expand thier business. We have found this really interesting as you get more feedback and a clearer picture on what people really think about paaleads.com and the conversion rates being achieved accross the different lead types. We have found it assuring that the majority we have seen have an higher than average conversion rate and ones who were converting lower we have been able to give them pointers and share best practice with them on what they could do increase them. In addition to this we have been holding open forums and practice meetings with teams of advisors and have also found this extremely useful as believe it or not we have advisors sitting next to each other who dont speak about the best way of converting the leads. If you think this will be useful in your office or area then we are more than happy to attend these and present.

    The BDM team are more than happy to discuss with you your business requirements if you need help in getting the supply of leads you want and grow your business and we will be more than happy to come and talk to you face to face in helping to achieve your business goals.

    This is over and above what your Account Management Team can offer and they will still deal with you day to day enquiries and queries and other parts of the forum is still the area to post your discussions on the positives and negatives of paaleads.com but this is an area where we can support your business now and in the future.

    Hi Dean,

    I think it would be helpful if when an account has fulfilled it's Lead allocation for the day that it is greyed out. 

    As it stands you aren't aware who is active and who isn't.  This I feel leads to a situation where bids are artificially pushed upwards.

    If this isn't possible please can you let me know why?

    I know that the system allocates the Lead at a level such that you don't pay any more than you need to but not knowing who is active or not means you set your bid at a higher level than you might if you knew who was active or not.

    Hi The Phoenix,

    Sorry for the delay in responding, we have been attending the Manchester Mortgage Expo over the last few days.

    Thanks for this idea. It is something we have looked at but unfortunately system restraints does not allow us to do this. In summary it is a logistical nightmare and thats with having hundreds of IT people working for the Moneysupermarket.com!

    I am not sure if this would help anyway as this would be constantly changing throughout the day as it would not only be changing when people hit their daily caps but also when people add new territories and lead types but also increase caps as well. so the chances are every time you refresh the page it would change.

    The system is updated at midnight every night so the people who are on hold etc at the start of the day show as greyed out. We do this in the early hours of the morning so the system is at its lowest point of use.

    Regarding the price being pushed up this is would not be the case as auto bidding drops the price down as when people hit caps in realtime so you only pay £1 more than the lowest bidder.

    What we can do is to share lots of information on the areas you are bidding in and guide you with some average lead prices etc to help you on the bidding to aid you getting the leads you want at the price you are willing to bid for them.
